“They say that there are 7 stages to healing from a broken heart, loss or trauma,” she began alongside a snap of herself and her daughter, Harper.
“That these stages are essential to the psychological processing of emotions, and it’s possible to move across them in different patterns. You could stay in one for months. Years. You could run through all 7 in a matter of weeks,” Zoe continued.
Before she numerically listed, ” 1. Shock and denial, 2. Pain and guilt, 3. Anger and bargaining, 4. Depression and reflection
5. The upward turn, 6. Reconstruction and 7. Acceptance and new hope.”
“It’s been around 6 weeks since our separation and I’ve only recently went past stage 1. Shock and denial
No matter where you are. What level of suffering you are in, know that just like joy, pain isn’t forever. This too will pass. Be kind and compassionate to yourself,” she opened up.
“Take the lessons from your experience and see it as an opportunity for personal grow. As a wise friend recently reminded me “Zoe you do not grow from standing on the mountain, you grow from walking the valley” 💫🙏🏽 she concluded the message to her 95k followers.
As previously reported, Zoe confirmed the sad news of the couple’s split on Instagram and revealed that at this stage their daughter, Harper Rose is their main priority.
“It is with sadness that Alex and I would like to state that we will be separating for now.
“We are determined to ensure our beautiful daughter Harper Rose continues to receive the unconditional love and nurturing she deserves from the both of us.
“Thank you to all our followers and friends who have supported us through the highs and lows throughout the years.”
She simply captioned the emotional post with a broken-heart emoji and tagged her Alex.
The couple took part in the MAFS social experiment 2015 and welcomed their daughter in November the following year.
Sending love to the family during this difficult time.
