Eagle-eyed viewers would have noticed that while it was clear that Cheryl planned to ask Dan if he was using reality TV for fame – like his younger brother Sam Webb, who starred on Australian Survivor in 2016 before landing spots on Neighbours and Home and Away – what she actually ended up asking him was much tamer.

An embarrassing editing error revealed that the full question surrounding this had been scribbled out from a list that Cheryl was reading from.

Instead, Cheryl ask about his intentions in a softer way, questioning Dan: ‘Are you in this for the right reasons?’

A shot of the script revealed the word ‘show’ had been crossed out and replaced with ‘experiment,’ adhering to producers obvious preference for using the term ‘social experiment’ in place of ‘TV show.’

However, there were big ticks next to questions that had obviously been approved, such as ‘What was your longest relationship and why did it end?’ and, ‘Would you be willing to move to Melbourne?’
