Tamara Joy has confirmed what many Married At First Sight fans have suspected – that the majority of the participants ‘homes’ are actually Airbnb rentals.
In what will come as a shock to no one, the HR manager told Daily Mail Australia that her property during homestays was actually a $150-per-night Airbnb located in Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne.
While ‘homestays’ are meant to be a chance to get a glimpse into the bride and grooms’ day-to-day lives, Tamara revealed that the homes have in actual fact been especially chosen for the show.
‘It’s not my house, just an Airbnb,’ said Tamara, before adding: ‘I was just in it for the homestay [with Dan Webb].’
The property is advertised on AirBnB as a ‘sun-filled family home en route to Great Ocean Road’ and features three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
And it’s currently available for a rather modest $150 per night.
