In what appears to be one of the most controversial episodes of Married At First Sight, last night Gabrielle Bartlett pulled a shock move that may have just got her the revenge she needed against partner Nasser Sultan.

Last week, we reported that the 50-year-old personal trainer friend-zoned his 44-year-old wife after confirming the two have no “sexual chemistry”.

Then on a more recent we episode saw the couple’s fate take a turn for the worse as Nasser threatened to leave the show after he was insulted about staying in an Air BNB with Gabrielle as she was not comfortable having him stay at her home with her teenage daughter.

Nasser went on to speak about his relationship with other cast mates during a dinner, which really made his actress wife feel left out. So, on last night’s episode when everyone expected the two would both write “leave” on their cards, a strategic Gabrielle did the unthinkable and commanded she’d chosen to stay.

“I know that Nasser is very, very stubborn.  I know that and I’ve been wearing that. But I’m also stubborn,’ she said as she showed her decision to stay.

“I vowed to myself that while there was a crack of light I will stay until there is darkness.

“Let this card remind you of who is sitting next to you. And I’m not a doormat. I can be very selfish when I want to and this is what I want so this is what I’ll have.”

Awkwardly enough this came after Nasser had revealed he was ready to give up on his relationship with the blonde.

Nasser stated: ‘I’m so sorry, Gab. You know I love you as a friend and I’ll always love you as a friend but I feel the chemistry is not there and our communication is not connecting. And with great sadness, I want to leave.”

Yep, it looks like we’ve got one more week of drama with these two!
