Masterchef Australia closed the kitchen doors on Leah Milburn-Clark, the Victorian-based 22-year-old theatre manager – in one of the most gruelling eliminations of all time.
Watch the heartbreaking moment in the video below.
Monday night’s pressure test had Leah Milburn Clark, Anushka Zargaryan and Kyle Lyons showing off their skills against each other.
Sadly for Leah, she missed the mark.
Celebrated chef Leno Lattarulo was joined by two men in black, bringing the highly coveted paella.
Spain’s national dish had all three amateur cooks fearing for their lives.
“Seeing that paella loaded with seafood arrive in the kitchen, I was terrified!” Leah told 10 daily following her elimination.
“Me and fish don’t have the best relationship as, unfortunately, I displayed for Rick Stein last week,” Leah – who is known for her desserts – confessed.
Despite all her efforts, Leah burnt the rice dish – that was served at Meghan and Harry’s wedding.
“That’s charcoal,” Matt tasted.
Gary Mehigan added: “(It’s) a massive problem for me, that burnt taste.”
As she bid goodbye to her Masterchef journey, Leah confessed she was leaving with her, “head held high”.
“I’m walking away with a new set of skills.”
As for her attempts with the rice dish, Leah joked, “Fair to say, I haven’t cooked paella since!”
