MasterChef judge George Calombaris may seem like he’s got one of the best jobs in the world, (he gets to eat food for a living!) but the TV star says there is a down-side to tasting tasty dishes all day long, and it’s called ‘palate-fatigue.’
Palate fatigue is said to be when your taste buds are overloaded after being bombarded with lots of different flavours over a prolonged period of time.
During an appearance on The Project, George revealed to Lisa Wilkinson his tips and trips for over-coming long days tasting contestants’ dishes.
“Hydration is important, lots of water,” he admitted

And bizarrely, George also swears by tea and green apples to help cleanse his palate.
Who would have thought!
