McDonald’s release world-first Australian-bred Wagyu beef burger

McDonald’s have launched a new, world-first Wagyu Beef Burger, featuring 100% Australian-bred Wagyu beef.

On sale today at 10:30am, Aussies will be the first in the world to get the opportunity to taste the new burger.

The Wagyu beef patty is served between a new gourmet bun alongside a specially create sauce, bacon strips, caramelised onion, tomato, lettuce and a slice of Coon Cheese.

“It’s exciting for us to be able to serve up a world first McDonald’s burger that centres on an ingredient we know Australians love – 100% Australian-bred wagyu beef,” said Jenni Dill, Chief Marketing Officer at McDonald’s Australia. “I love the taste of this newest addition to our menu, and am sure our customers will too. But they’ll need to get in quick before we sell out!”

The burger will be available in-restaurant and in drive-thru, while stocks last.
