Security is on high alert as British special forces are guarding newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with sub-machine guns after fears the Royals could be targeted by the Taliban.
Harry who once served as a soldier in the British Army appears to have tightened security after he openly admitted he “blew Taliban extremists to pieces” as a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan back in the day.
According to reports by The Sun, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recently renovated three bedroom country home in Oxfordshire has become a ‘protected site’, in a similar fashion to Buckingham Palace.
The 18th-century farmhouse owned by Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, has also reportedly been classed a “protected site” under the 2005 Serious Organised Crime and Police Act.
In plain terms, it means that anyone who is trespassing on the site or on surrounding areas could face six months behind the bars.
The publication also revealed top-level security cameras and motion sensors line the driveway to the property, on a millionaire landowner’s private estate.
