Just when Sarah Ferguson found her niche as a children’s author, another royal seems to be venturing into her territory.
Meghan Markle has announced that she will also be publishing kids books, and the Duchess of York is said to be peeved by the news.

According to the Daily Mail, Fergie is writing a children’s book for younger readers, following the success of her famous Budgie The Little Helicopter series.
However, the 59-year-old may have some new competition, as the Duchess of Sussex is also doing the same – with the former actress writing a book on the lives of her rescue dogs.
This isn’t the first time another British royal has published a children’s book (Prince Charles published The Old Man of Lochnagar in 1980)
However, with Meghan quickly becoming popular amongst the British royal family, insiders believe a rivalry may emerge between the Duchesses.
The wife of Prince Harry is rumoured to be favoured by the Queen, while Fergie has only recently been welcomed back into the royal family after years of exclusion following her divorce from Prince Andrew.
The Duchess of York told royal author Ingrid Seward in 1991 that she struggled to “find a niche for herself” in the royal family, saying she felt caught between Princess Anne and Princess Diana.
“Anne has the Third World and Diana has Birthright…I need to be involved too,” she told the author.

Sarah is rumoured to be adamant about outdoing Meghan, even enlisting the help of author Imogen Edwards-Jones to assist her with her next writing venture.
“Imogen is one of the quickest-witted people I know,” Ferguson told the Daily Mail,.
“Every moment with such a clever lady is a jump into joy and creativity, and I am so lucky to have a friend like her. I am excited about the future working with Imogen, as her writing is, for me, superb.”
According to the publication, Fergie recently confirmed that she is writing a guide book on “the importance of kindness, protecting the planet and managing social media and cyberbullying.”

Despite being called a ‘parasite’ who spent all her time on holiday in the past, Fergie believes she is the perfect person to give advice.
“I believe in example by leadership,” the mother of Princess Beatrice and Eugenie said.
“I think the one thing I’ve done incredibly well — although I say it myself — is that I’m a really good mum. I think that my girls show that.”
Insiders say that although there is no personal animosity between Fergie and the younger royal, the peeved Duchess refuses to allow her writing career to become overshadowed.
