We don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news… but Mel B has crushed all of our Spice Girl world tour dreams!
Scary Spice might have ‘confirmed’ during the reunion tour that the girls are coming to Australia… but now she has admitted that there is NO confirmation on that news.
WATCH Mel B’s shocking announcement about the Spice Girls coming to Australia:
Speaking to Grant, Ed & Ash on 2DayFM, Mel confirmed that there’s no locked in 2020 Spice Girls reunion Australian tour.
“You announced to the crowd that the Spice Girls would be coming to Australia in 2020 is this true?” Grant Denyer asked.
“You know me by now,” she said. “I always say the Spice Girls are going to continue and continue and tour the whole world.
“My thing is, and I’ve got a bee in my bonnet about it, is that we need to come to Australia first out the gate. I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100 per cent, but I figured if I put it out there maybe it’s going to happen.”
“So, you’re manifesting it?” said Ash London.
“Exactly,” Mel B replied.
Scary Spice admitted that the rest of the girl group are “not on board fully, yet,” with the idea of a Spice World Australian tour. “But I will make sure it actually does it happen,” she added.
Fingers crossed the rest of the bandmates can get on board, because we wannabe in that crowd…
Mel B was also asked about Geri Halliwell’s on stage apology at the group’s final show at Wembley Arena.
Geri apologised to her bandmates and the fans for quitting in 1998.
“It suddenly occurred to me this afternoon, I need to say something I should have said a long time ago: I’m sorry,” she said. “I’m sorry I left. I was just being a brat. It is so good to be back with the girls that I love.”
Mel B joked on air, “It’s about time, b*tch!”
“It actually made cry just a little bit inside. That was nice.”
