Mel B has never been much of a wallflower. In fact, the Spice Girl has been in the habit of dishing intimate details about her personal life in recent years.

And now she’s at it again, spilling her non-negotiable rules when it comes to sex and dating.
Speaking on her podcast, Truth Flirts, Scary Spice revealed that she takes her potential suitors to get tested for sexually transmitted infections before they sleep together.
“I’ve been out on the however-many date, and I can see it’s heading down that area, and I’ve gone, ‘Let’s go to the clinic together and get it done,'” she spilled.
She also takes safe sex into her own hands by ensuring she always packs condoms if there’s a chance she might be getting down and dirty.
“I always have condoms in my bag,” said the star, who also confirmed that she’s currently single. “Not in my immediate backpack, but I will have them if I know I’m going to be going somewhere.”

“I do think it’s important to have that conversation before you have sex with [a new partner],” she explained. “I’ve done it. You’d be surprised, if it’s just part of the conversation, how willing and able that conversation’s outcome ends up being.”
The mum-of-three also added that she’s not afraid to have ‘The Talk’ with her daughters. Mel spoke to Phoenix, now 20, about sex when she was 13, and plans to do the same when Angel, 12, and Madison, eight, reach the same age.

Though she’s doing well now, the singer has been through rough times in the past, and she never shies away from sharing her experiences, including her battle with drug addiction.
In her autobiography Brutally Honest, which can be read in The Sun on Sunday, the 43-year-old writes about trying to take her own life by consuming nearly 200 painkillers. It was 2014, and she was a judge on X Factor.
She recounted, “I was a sad, pathetic person. I was out of control. I was probably taking five or six lines [of cocaine] a day before and after work.”
“It numbed my pain. It lifted me up enough to be ready to fire on all cylinders and forget about everything but the show.”
The singer was on the UK panel with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl – and says she never took substances during the show.
These days, Mel is much healthier and happier, and back on the road with the group that launched her to fame – the Spice Girls. But fans were crushed recently when, after ‘confirming’ during the reunion tour that the girls are coming to Australia, Scary Spice backtracked.

Speaking to Grant, Ed & Ash on 2DayFM, Mel confirmed that there’s no locked in 2020 Spice Girls reunion Australian tour.
“You announced to the crowd that the Spice Girls would be coming to Australia in 2020 is this true?” Grant Denyer asked.
“You know me by now,” she said. “I always say the Spice Girls are going to continue and continue and tour the whole world. My thing is, and I’ve got a bee in my bonnet about it, is that we need to come to Australia first out the gate. I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100 per cent, but I figured if I put it out there maybe it’s going to happen.”
“So, you’re manifesting it?” queried Ash London.
“Exactly,” Mel replied.
