Miley Cyrus was just 16 when she started dating Liam Hemsworth, and after a whirlwind decade long romance and just 7 months of marriage, the pair recently announced their separation.
But a source tells WHO the couple mightn’t be filing for divorce any time soon.
“They have a long history together and that’s a huge part of why [Miley] has a hard time letting him go,” a source close to the singer tells WHO.
“At the end of the day, she wants to be happy, and she genuinely wants Liam to be happy too.”
“They’re having a break right now because they needed it. It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements,” said another source in Cyrus’ circle.
“They both agreed it’s better to spend time apart, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is completely over.”
With their on-again, off-again history, the love story between Miley and Liam mightn’t be over just yet.
