Natalie Bassingthwaighte on returning to ‘Neighbours’ as Izzy Hoyland

But the actress and former Rogue Traders singer swapped to rock chick mode – in jet black PVC – at the AACTA Awards when she became the only woman ever to perform with Aussie music icons The Angels.
“I can’t believe it, I can’t wait,” the 42-year-old actor, singer and TV presenter told Who before strutting her stuff onstage at Sydney’s Star Casino. “But oh my God, I’m not going to wear a pink gown for that!

‘This is a bit princess-y, not like me at all,” the mother-of-two said of her low-cut Cappellazzo Couture dress, showing the toned results of a four-to-five-times-a-week Pilates habit. “It’s really pretty and delicate, and I’m wearing so many diamonds!”

Bassingthwaighte – who prefers to forget her stint as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia – is set to return to her old stamping ground of Neighbours, where she first shot to fame as bad girl Izzy Hoyland.
“The storyline is bigger than ever,” she explained. “If you loved Izzy before, you’ll love her more than ever this time around. It’s intense!”
