The new scam attempts to steal the credit card details of Netflix users by telling the recipient they need to verify their ‘billing and payment details’.

“We recently failed to validate your payment information we hold on record for your account, there we need to ask you to complete a brief validation process in order to verify your billing and payment details,” the fake message reads before hinting the email recipient to click a ‘verification’ link.

When the link is clicked, the scam victim is taken to a phishing website made to look like the real Netflix login page and are prompted to enter their login information.
