Premiering on Netflix in 2020, Mindy Kaling’s Never Have I Ever was met with tremendous praise. Three years and three seasons later, we’re finally at the end of protagonist Devi Vishwakumar’s (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) narrative.
In March 2022, it was announced that Season 4 will serve as the show’s finale. Thus, as Devi enters her senior year at Sherman Oaks High, we expect this messy, but loveable, teen to go out with an absolute bang.
For three seasons, we’ve followed Devi’s chaotic journey in love, loss, and life. Now, as a senior, it seems she’s ready to spread her wings.
So, what does this final season have in store for its viewers?

When will Season 4 of ‘Never Have I Ever’ be released?
Season 4 of Never Have I Ever will premiere on June 8, 2023.
‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 4 cast
It wouldn’t be Never Have I Ever without Devi! Maitreyi Ramakrishnan will reprise her starring role.
Devi’s mum, Nalini (Poorna Jagannathan), her cousin, Kamala (Richa Moorjani), and great grandmother, Nirmala (Ranjita Chakravarty) will also be there to hold down the fort.
The remaining core characters will also return for the show’s final season; including Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Barnett) and series’ narrator John McEnroe.
In true Sherman Oak’s fashion, a new student will be joining the graduating class (and capturing Devi’s attention by the looks of things. Love, Victor’s Michael Cimino will join the ranks of Ben and Paxton as one of Devi’s love interests.
‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 4 plot
Spoiler alert! Season Three of Never Have I Ever ended just before Devi and Ben were about to engage in a romantic rendezvous.
Using the ‘one free boink’ coupon Ben gave Devi as a joke, the bedroom door was closed on the pair, leaving us on this momentous cliff-hanger for over a year…
It can be assumed that Season 4 starts just where it was left off. Whatever happens, it will not be smooth sailing for this couple.
In the teaser trailer alone, we see Devi’s former flame, Paxton, has returned to Sherman Oaks (as a coach, perhaps?) and new eye-candy, Ethan has joined her romantic roster.
Set during Devi’s penultimate year of schooling, we can also anticipate all the feels. Amidst maintaining her friendship with Fabiola and Eleanor, she also faces the pressure of getting into colleges and coping with the loss of her father.
Who will Devi end up with? Will Kamala marry Manish? Will Trent and Eleanor’s relationship survive senior year? What about Dr Ryan’s sage advice?
We guess we’ll have to wait until June 8th…
