Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins is the new Bachelor Australia, Network Ten confirms.
“I’m really looking forward to throwing everything at this opportunity to finding the one,” the Wallabies star said of his new Bachelor title.
“The past 10 or so years has been on the road playing rugby or working on my projects, so I’m very excited to be part of a show that is centred around love and good times.”
The Aussie larrikin has had a hugely successful career, playing for the Australian Wallabies earning a Commonwealth Games silver medal and playing rugby with the Australian Sevens and overseas in Japan.
If you’re wondering where the nickname Honey badger comes from, he gained the moniker because of his strength, ferocity and toughness on the field.
The Bachelor isn’t Nick’s first experience in TV land. The 30-year-old will co-host Netflix series Ultimate Beastmaster, will star in National Geographic’s Meanwhile in Australia…
Network Ten say that Nick will be a ‘phenomenal’ Bachelor. “He will bring a refreshing, honest and cheeky energy to season six.”
