WATCH Online date horror: Aussie woman ‘kidnapped and abused for four days’

It's the case that has shocked Australia

A man is today accused of holding a woman captive for four days, beating, raping, strangling and threatening to kill her, after meeting her on the dating app Badoo.

Robert Wilson, 32, of Darley, Victoria, is accused of assaulting the woman so badly that she was unable to see out of either eye during much of the ordeal, which only ended when friends contacted the accused.

Wilson is also accused of beating the victim with a metal bar, handcuffing her and holding a crossbow to her head while screaming, ‘Do you want to die?’

He is also accused of threatening to sell her as a sex worker to other men, and forcing her to transfer $3,000 to him from her bank account.

It is alleged the man only released her when her friends started messaging him on Facebook, asking her whereabouts.

Wilson has been charged with seven offences – including one count of false imprisonment and three counts of rape.

The victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.
