Despite the fact that the Palace insists that there is no rivalry between the two royal couples, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched their own Instagram account, separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton following their move to Frogmore Cottage earlier this year.
A Royal source told the Mail Online: “Meghan and Harry have appointed a new member of staff to work on their social media accounts – starting in time for Meghan’s return from maternity leave.”
Despite the fact that Harry and Meghan only launched their Instagram account in April and already have 8.5 million followers, they’re still lagging behind William and Kate – who joined Instagram in 2015 – by some 700,000 followers.
In a telling move that indicts the rivalry between the couples is still raging, Meghan and Harry shared previously unreleased images from their wedding on the same day Kensington Palace shared pictures to celebrate Kate’s garden design at the Chelsea Flower Show.
