Heartbreaking news for Aussie royal devotees – and Prince Harry – with the Prince’s most prominent Aussie fan, elderly Sydney woman Daphne Dunne, passing away.
Daphne, who was 99, was just last week in the news, expressing her delight over receiving a letter and birthday card from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Back in 2015, the Prince reached out to Daphne through a throng of fans during an Aussie visit, and they maintained and ongoing connection.
In 2017 the Prince spotted her in a crowd at Circular Quay and made a beeline, along with Meghan.
The couple chatted with Mrs Dunne for some time, and Daphne memorably put her hand on the Prince’s face.
