Anthony Kiedis and fellow Red Hot Chili Peppers members Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer recently featured in the famous ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment for The Late Late Show with James Corden.

However, Anthony has recently revealed that it wasn’t a completely drama-free shoot.

Kiedis, 53, told the UK’s Radio X on Thursday “We had a very interesting unscripted moment”.

“We danced off,” he continued “Then were going to celebrate with some Mexican food on the corner.”

“A woman came out of her house holding a child, saying, ‘My baby, my baby, my baby can’t breathe,’”

“We all ran across the street. The lady thrust the baby into my arms. The baby was not breathing.”

“I thought, ‘I’m going to try and do a little baby CPR real quick to see if I can get some air into this kid,’” Kiedis continued. “I tried to open the mouth … locked shut. So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles started coming out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place. The ambulance showed up and I handed the baby over, who was breathing and fine.”

Anthony’s heroic actions were not mentioned in the segment, which aired on Monday night on CBS.

James Corden invited the band to carpool with him around Los Angeles, singing their way through several Red Hot Chili Pepper songs, removing their shirts and eventually ending up in a wrestling match.
