After dazzling audiences across the globe with her medley of chart-topping hits at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, fans have been eagerly awaiting Rihanna’s return to the music industry.

Prior to releasing her single Lift Me Up in 2022, Rihanna had not released any new solo material since her 2016 album ANTI, with the star instead focusing her attention on her Fenty Beauty makeup empire and SAVAGE x FENTY clothing collection.

Despite taking a step back from the music industry, Rihanna has maintained that a new album is still on the horizon, telling British Vogue, “I want [the album] to be this year like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year… I just want to make music and make videos.”

Now, it appears that fans may not need to wait too much longer for their favourite singer’s return, with insider sources hinting at a potential comeback and world tour.

Is Rihanna coming to Australia?

Following her record-breaking performance at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, fans of the Rihanna Navy have been eagerly awaiting any potential news of the Grammy Award winner making a return to the stage. 

While she has yet to confirm any future tour dates, sources speaking to Entertainment Tonight revealed that Rihanna is reportedly planning a 2024/25 World Tour in conjunction with touring company Live Nation.

The source also shared that Rihanna has reportedly made her long-awaited return to the recording studio, with the star rumoured to release her first new album since her 2016 hit ANTI.

Has Rihanna toured Australia? 

Although it has been quite a few years since Rihanna embarked on a world tour, the Diamonds singer has previously performed in Australia. 

Rihanna first toured Down Under in October/November 2008 as part of her Good Girl Gone Bad Tour before returning three years later for the Australian leg of her Last Girl On Earth Tour.

Rihanna’s last touring visit to Australia was in September/October 2013, with the singer performing five sold-out shows across every mainland Australian capital city.
