Over the weekend, The Daily Telegraph’s Annette Sharp claimed the PR Queen’s pilot show would not be given a follow-up season after it aired to lukewarm reviews.

However, Roxy denied the claims, telling Daily Mail Australia that ‘no decisions have been made yet on Pilot Week 2019.’

Billed as ‘Australia’s answer to Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, the program was a fly-on-the-wall look inside Roxy’s glamorous and chaotic publicity empire.

The 39-year-old also hit out at claims by the journalist that she was ‘crying poor to the media’ about her struggling publicity firm, Sweaty Betty as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

‘I have not cried poor, like many other businesses, one of my five companies, Sweaty Betty PR, has been hit hard by COVID-19,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I am not ashamed to admit that I, like many others, have been affected by this unprecedented pandemic. Fortunately – and as any research would show – I diversified my business interests some years ago.’

In an Instagram post last week, the mum-of-two revealed that her PR company was on its knees as a result of the economic downturn due to the coronavirus.

‘Fifteen years it took to build into an empire with non stop commitment – 72 hours it took to tumble down all whilst I am in isolation and can’t help my team and boost morale,’ she said.

The outspoken star also shocked fans recently by revealing she had stockpiled 22 bottles of laundry detergent.

One person commented: ‘Disappointing. Encouraging people to buy products in bulk [when] the government is urging us to be sensible.

‘Think of the people who can’t afford to buy hundreds of dollars’ worth of anything. It’s because of people like you, the less fortunate cannot buy a roll of toilet paper. Shame.’
