Speaking to Hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt on Wednesday, the MAFS 2018 star said he worried about future bride and groom’s mental health.

‘Eventually, maybe something will happen and someone will obviously go too far and be upset that much they might even harm themselves,’ he said.

‘It’s happened in other countries and I hope it doesn’t happen here,’ he added, referencing the suicides of British reality stars Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.

However, it would appear Nine is aware of the situation, having set up a a 24-hour helpline for former cast members last October.

At the time, a spokesperson said: ‘While we won’t comment on this matter as it’s private and confidential, both former and current participants are given access to support.’

Ryan also opened up about his eviction from the South African jungle on Tuesday.

I’ve been asked to do other reality love shows since MAFS and I’m just not interested [because] I don’t believe in them to be honest,’ he said.
‘With Celebrity, it’s not that, they aren’t trying to push that on people. It’s a family show that shows people for who they are.’

During Ryan’s time on MAFS he was famously cheated on by his ‘bride’ Davina Rankin.

He discussed Davina’s affair on I’m a Celebrity, telling his campmates she had warned him on their honeymoon that she was going to be unfaithful.

‘We were on the honeymoon, and we were intimate and stuff like that. You sort of get lost in the moment,’ he began.

‘And as we were flying back, as we were landing, [Davina] goes, “You know, when we get back we meet other people and you can hook up with anyone.”

And I was like, “I don’t think that…!”‘
