Sam Frost says that she’s comfortable in her own skin

The radio host turned ‘Home and Away’ star keeps it real despite criticism

As Jasmine Delaney, recently arrived resident of Summer Bay, Sam Frost is stirring up storylines on Seven’s Home and Away with her latest scenes featuring her kissing a new man, Robbo (Jake Ryan), on May 14. But as the real Sam Frost, 29, she focuses on ignoring the noise and keeps her head level. “I think, from The Bachelorette days till now, I certainly feel like I’ve become way more comfortable in my own skin,” she tells WHO. “I like who I am.”

So much so, she revealed plans last month to launch a new venture, Believe by Sam Frost, with her sister Kristine. She released no details apart from the tagline “Everyone has a story,” and that the project will be coming soon. It’s another string to add to the star’s bow. Making her debut in the public eye as Blake Garvey’s final-rose recipient on 2014’s The Bachelor, Frost saw her romantic dream fade with a shock split. She then became Australia’s first Bachelorette in 2015, only to have her relationship with Sasha Mielczarek end after 18 months.

The former finance manager then made career advances, trying her hand at radio hosting (on 2DayFM with Rove McManus) and TV cooking (as a celebrity contestant in 2017’s Hell’s Kitchen) before landing in Summer Bay—an opportunity that she pursued with a serious set of auditions. “I’m really proud of myself and my performance,” Frost says, “and I know that every single week, I’m getting better and better. I have invested so much time and work into my job, I know I’m getting better.”
