Over 25 years after the whirlwind season finale, fans may soon finally uncover what happened to Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer following the final episode of Seinfeld, with star Jerry Seinfeld hinting at a possible reunion.
“I can’t really tell it because it is a secret. Here’s what I’ll tell you, OK, but you can’t tell anybody. Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending,” Seinfeld teased during a recent stand-up performance.

While Seinfeld confirms that the upcoming project “hasn’t happened yet,” the 69-year-old comedian offered a cryptic hint as to what the plot-line could be, telling the audience, “Just what you are thinking about [Seinfeld’s co-creator] Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about, so you’ll see.”
During the two-part finale, fans were shocked by the unexpected twist that saw Jerry, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George (Jason Alexander), and Kramer (Michael Richards) on trial for failing to intervene in an attempted theft.
The “Good Samaritan Law” trial saw the return of some of the sitcom’s most iconic side characters, such as the Soup Nazi, Babu Bhatt, and Mabel Choate, as character witnesses in the case against the four.
After being deemed guilty of criminal indifference, the episode then concludes with the four friends in prison holding cell as they prepare to serve their one-year sentence; leaving many fans searching for answers to some of the series’ biggest plot points.
Was Elaine going to confess her love to Jerry? Did George and Jerry ever move to California? Did Kramer ever reunite with Newman? These post-finale plotlines have been some of the most popular topics of discussion amongst fans since the sitcom concluded in May 1998.
With Jerry offering only a vague clue about the future reunion subject matter, Seinfeld fans have begun to scream “Serenity now” as they speculate over which plot point Seinfeld’s creators are eager to explore.
While the talks of a reunion may appear to be a Festivus miracle for fans, it is not the first time the Seinfeld crew have reunited to reprise their roles.
In 2014, Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander stepped back into the world of Seinfeld for a 2014 Super Bowl commercial, with the duo reuniting at the fictional Monk’s Cafe. The brief reboot also saw the return of fan-favourite Wayne Knight as Jerry’s nemesis Newman.
The Seinfeld crew also reunited in 2009 for a one-off reunion-style episode on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, with Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards all returning to reprise their role.
