A 43-year-old man has been attacked by a shark off the coast of New South Wales.
The man was swimming at Ballina’s Shelley Beach when he was attacked by a shart.
According to Channel Seven, the man is understood to have driven himself to Ballina hospital with a 20 centimetre gash on his leg.

This is the second shark attack in Australia this week.

Victorian man Daniel Christidis, 33, was killed after being mauled by a shar at Cid Harbour in the Whitsundays Islands on Monday evening.
Two other people have been attacked by shards in Cid Harbour in the past two months.
