Love Island host Sophie Monk undergone surgery and the starlet has taken to Instagram to share the latest step on her quest to become a mother.
“So I’m back in this lovely red carpet outfit,” she explained to the camera on Dec. 3. “I haven’t told anyone but over the last 14 days I have been injecting myself to freeze my eggs,” she continued, donning an oxygen mask and a hospital gown.
“I’m going to check in a second to see how many I’ve laid. Hopefully it’s a lot. Wish me luck!” Shortly after her posts, Monk spoke to WHO and declared she was in a safe, grateful state after visiting Monash IVF fertility clinic.
“If it wasn’t for Monash and the desire to freeze my eggs, I would have never known that I had mild endometriosis,” she said. “I want women to know that if I hadn’t made this discovery, freezing my eggs and trying to have a baby could have been a very difficult process. Instead I have ended up with a baker’s dozen!”
The singer, who has been dating boyfriend Joshua Gross for five months, also shared a special message to any fans who may be having health problems.
“I encourage everyone who is experiencing a painful cycle to at the very least speak to their GP.”
In May, Monk told WHO she was very excited to have a baby in the future and confessed she would consider freezing her
eggs. “I am going to freeze my eggs when I get back from Spain – it’s all booked in,” she revealed.
