The Love Island host is said to have blindsided Day after his “good mate” and fellow celebrity agent, Sean Anderson took to social media this week to announce he had signed Sophie Monk this week.

Anderson’s 22 Management Instagram page shared a photograph of Monk alongside the caption: “We’re thrilled to announce the very talented @sophiemonk has signed exclusively with 22! Welcome to the family,”

And according to Day, he had no idea that Sophie had signed to Anderson’s agency.

Confidential reports that The Bachelorette star “went completely cold on Day in recent weeks,” and hadn’t heard a word from Sophie, lately despite having managed her for over a decade.

“To say I am shocked and disappointed is an understatement. Sean and I were good friends for 20 years until he did this to me,” Day told the publication, explaining he received a letter from the singer’s lawyer out of the blue ending their agreement.

Meanwhile, Anderson claimed Sophie approached him mid-January to enquire about representation.

“I met with Sophie for the first time last week and she said she was looking for a new manager after finishing up with Titus in December. I am really happy she has signed with me at 22,” he said.

Both agents represent come of Australia’s biggest stars, with Day having managed the likes of Guy Sebastian, television host Grant Denyer, model Lara Worthington and swimmer Stephanie Rice in the past. And Anderson currently counting Jennifer Hawkins, actor Jodi Anasta, TV personality Georgia Love and blogger Pia Muehlenbeck as clients.
