Australian Survivor is gearing up for what’s anticipated to be its most exciting season yet, introducing its new theme of Brains V Brawn.
Channel 10 released the first look of the season earlier this year, and we can expect to see the strongest and most strategic minds go head-to-head in the harsh Australian outback, as they fight for the winning title of Australian Survivor 2021.
The new season will also have a new location, with filming having taken place in the outback of North West Queensland.
Jonathan LaPaglia has returned to host the new season, and while we wait for the show to premiere on July 18, here’s the full Australian Survivor cast for this year.
Dani
Described as a “tough-as-nails” Prison Officer, Dani is joining the Brawn Tribe, and looks like a force to be reckoned with.
Working in a maximum-security prison, Dani is no doubt used to having her guard up, and will use this to her advantage while on the show.
“The Australian Outback might be fierce, but it’s no match to the snakes I deal with every single day,” she said.
Dani also hopes to win Australian Survivor to prove to her two nieces, and all women, that they can achieve anything.
George
Joining the Brains tribe, George is a political operative, and thinks he’s the smartest one there is.
As a “faceless man” in the Labor Party, George is willing to pull people’s strings, and that’s what he’ll be doing on Survivor.
“I’ll let the audience decide if I’m the hero, or the villain,” he said.
Gavin
AFL legend Gavin Wanganeen is joining the Brawn tribe, as he trades in the field for the Australian desert.
“I think people will definitely underestimate me because they’ll think, ‘He’s a dumb ex footballer’,” he said in the trailer.
“I’m ready to play. The beast comes out, so don’t mess with me.”
Gavin hopes to represent his community and become the first Indigenous person to win Australian Survivor.
Daini
This personal trainer will be giving it his all on Survivor, using his strength to keep up with the Brawn tribe.
“In body building, when your body’s aching, when you’re starving, that’s when you’re the happiest,” Daini said.
Flick
As a big wave surfer, who turned pro when she was just sixteen, Flick will join the Brawn tribe.
“I know where my strengths lie,” Flick said.
“I didn’t get to number two in the world by doing nothing.”
Emmett
Also joining the Brawn tribe is health coach Emmett.
Chelsea
As an MMA fighter, it comes as no surprise that Chelsea is with the Brawn tribe, and will be putting up a good fight on Survivor.
“The Brains side they’ve gotta watch it because the Brawn tribe are going to come in so hard,” she said.
Phil
Described as the ‘crochet king’, Phil will be bringing their wits to the Brains tribe.
“Because of my ability to understand people and read them, I’ll be able to make any sort of plan happen,” they said.
Laura
This marine scientist is going to challenge the Brawn tribe, as she joins the Brains side.
“I think I’ll be greatly underestimated out there,” Laura said.
Cara
Described as an empath, Cara will no doubt be using that to her advantage on the Brains side.
“I know how to play people,” she said.
Georgia
This forensic psychologist is joining the Brains, and Georgia is more than ready for Survivor 2021.
“Brain, it’s multifaceted,” she said. “Brawn, it’s one dimensional.”
“Without a doubt, brain is better than brawn.”
Benny
Benny is an entrepreneur who is willing to pull all the stops to win.
“I’ve got no emotion, I’m willing to throw people under the bus,” he said.
“I will win the game.”
Wai
Award-winning author Wai is using her brain to fight brawn on Survivor.
“I’m going to be a very resilient player,” she said. “Make the best strategic decision in any moment.”
Shannon
Shannon is an influencer, but wants to prove that she’s so much more.
“I am a hustler, they’re not going to see what’s coming,” she said.
“I am a beast.”
Andrew
Australian wildlife and survival expert Andrew will be tapping into his experience of working with the world’s most dangerous animals, as he joins the Brains tribe.
Baden
Champion cyclist turned businessman, Baden has won over 50 races and even secured a green jersey in the 2003 Tour de France.
Having also played poker at a high level, Baden has a strategic mind and will be bringing that to the Brains Tribe
Hayley
0As a professional pain researcher, Hayley’s job is to administer placebo psychological therapy to patients and test the brain’s response to treatment. She’ll be joining the Brains tribe.
Joey
Joey works as a Head of Partnerships in the real world, and on Survivor, he will be using that experience on the Brains tribe.
Mitch
As a highly intelligent and successful doctor, Mitch is stepping into the game as one of the smartest competitors on paper. Wielding an IQ in the top 1% of the world, he may well be the secret weapon for the Brains Tribe.
1Rachel
Award-winning educator Rachel was named as the 2020 Queensland Australian of the Year, and her ground-breaking work as a teacher, principal and entrepreneur has transformed the education system. She will be standing on the Brains tribe.
Gerald
World Champion wood-chopper, Gerald is ready to bring some brute force to the Brawn Tribe.
Hailing in from the bush as a fifth-generation cattle farmer, Gerald knows his way around the Aussie outback, which will no doubt be a massive advantage.
Janelle
2Aussie battler and hardworking mother of three Janelle shouldn’t be underestimated in this game. She is ready to stir the pot in the Brawn Tribe.
Kez
A personal trainer and bodybuilder, Kez will be nothing but ruthless when she steps into the Australian outback and joins the Brawn tribe.
