Get ready! World Pride 2023 is about to kick off in Sydney – and it’s going to be amazing. With over 300 free and ticketed events, there truly will be an event for anyone from parties and concerts, sports, theatre and more!

World Pride 2023 dates
Sydney World Pride 2023 will run from Saturday, Feb 18, to Sunday, Mar 5.
Mardi Gras Fair Day
Sunday, February 19
Kick-off Sydney WorldPride in true Mardi Gras style – Fair Day! There is something for everyone at Fair Day, which is one of the community’s most-loved events bringing over 200 retail, information and food stalls, sample giveaways and family-friendly picnic areas.
World Pride Opening Concert
Friday, February 24
Casey Donovan and Courtney Act are set to host the official opening concert of WorldPride 2023 live from the Domain, which will feature acts such as Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX, and Jessica Mauboy.
Mardi Gras Parade
Saturday, February 25
Sydney’s world-renowned Parade returns to Oxford Street in celebration of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras’ 45th anniversary. As the biggest event of the Sydney WorldPride festival, all eyes will be on our 12,500 marchers as 200+ floats adorn Oxford Street for the first time since 2020.
Queer Art After Hours
Wednesday, February 22
Experience breathtaking art and performances from a myriad of LGBTQIA+ artists who will take centre stage in the Art Gallery’s shiny new building. Choose your own journey with music, performances, installations, DJs, workshops and pop-up bars, plus drop in to a queer youth space hosted by the Art Gallery’s Youth Collective.
Drag Haus World Pride
Thursday, February 23
Gathering queens from across the country, along with iconic international drag talent for one show-stopping night you absolutely cannot miss! Drag Haus, World Pride will showcase over 15 Queens and 30+ performances.
Marri Madung Butbut (Many Brave Hearts): Sydney WorldPride’s First Nations Gathering Space.
February 23-28
On Gadigal Country, renowned multi-arts space Carriageworks will come alive with a celebration of LGBTQIA+SB First Nations brilliance, artistry and culture, as part Sydney WorldPride 2023. The program will be the largest Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and global First Nation LGBTQIA+SB celebration ever to take place in Australia. From free exhibits to theatre, dining and drag, Marri Madung Butbut: the First Nations Gathering Space will be the place where everyone is welcome to experience the rainbow heart of the oldest surviving culture on the planet.

Pullman Sydney Hyde Parks’ Mardi Gras Pre-Game event
Saturday, February 25
The entire hotel lobby of the Pullman Sydney, Hyde Park will be transformed into an entertainment precinct filled with arts, acts and performances to encourage people to come together to celebrate World Pride. With the hotel located just minutes from all the action taking place on Oxford Street, and with a lineup of activities including a 5-hour premium food and beverage package and performances, it’s the perfect place to pre-game for the parade.
Stoli’s Martini Mayhem at Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park
February 20 – March 7
In celebration of the martini this pride season, Miss Martini aka. Ana Page has crafted a menu of five tasty tipples inspired by pride icons themselves; Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Donna Summer, Shirley Bassey and Madonna, available at The Conservatory Bary by Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park. An Oyster Shucking station will also be on-site every Friday to Sunday plus Sydney artist and DJ, Chase Zera will hit the decks for a one-night-only performance on Saturday 4 March to close out the WorldPride Celebrations.

Big Gay Aussie Brekky
Sunday, March 5
The Big Gay Aussie Brekky – supported by City of Sydney and presented as part of Sydney WorldPride Amplified Program – will celebrate a range of talented musicians, vendors and artists from the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a wealth of inclusive, exciting and diverse activities for all to enjoy across iconic Sydney locations Quay Quarter, Gateway, The Rocks and many more.
Celebrations will kick off with a special Pride-edition of Quay Quarter Lanes Markets and the party will continue through The Lanes behind Custom House with a range of free unique workshops and performances, all the way through to a family-friendly day on the green at Gateway and more beloved Pride-inspired markets, fashion parades and high tea at The Rocks.
David Jones celebrates world pride
February 25 – March 5
David Jones is hosting a range of experiences for its customers across Elizabeth Street and Bondi Junction stores. From Thursday 23 February – Sunday 5 March the Elizabeth Street Flagship will be decked out with vivacious window displays and a glitter rainbow fruit photo booth, and both stores will have roving dance troupes, performances and live model installations from the LGBTQIA+SB community inspired by circus, drag, burlesque, and the ever-changing world around them.
