When you’re one of Australia’s most popular influencers it goes without saying that you’re most likely inundated with brands sending you free goodies in the hope that you’ll promote them. However, despite having more clothes than she knows what to do with, Tammy Hembrow was left fuming when her sister decided to ‘Marie Kondo’ her wardrobe.

The Aussie star – who boasts 10.7 million Instagram followers – revealed during Monday’s episode of the Hanging With The Hembrow’s podcast that her older sister, Amy, 29 had thrown out a huge chunk of her wardrobe without her permission whilst she was on holiday overseas.
“So much of it was brand-new stuff with tags that I was excited to wear. All my stuff was like gone, I was so mad at you,” Tammy, 25 told Amy.
Tammy’s other sister, Emilee, 27 added that there was ‘literally 20 garbage bags being pulled out of Tammy’s house’.
“She didn’t need it,” shot back Amy.
Tammy explained that Amy had ‘Marie Kondoed’ her belongings without permission, after watching the series on Japanese organising with Marie Kondo.
“Think of all the charity shops that got some really great stuff… and to be honest, do you miss any of that stuff now, or know what’s missing?” she asked her sister.
Tammy joked: “I’m sure I would miss it if I knew what was gone,” before adding: “No, I had specific things that I realised were gone straight away.”
Although Tammy admitted that most of her clothes are gifted to her, she also has an online shopping obsession.
“There was a period where I was going a bit crazy with the handbag shopping and I was buying stuff I didn’t need or use once.
“I do have a lot of bags that I regret buying, just because I have some handbags I’ve never used,” she said.
Tammy’s confession follows news earlier this week that the influencer hired a nanny last year who not only lied about her qualifications but severely injured her four-year-old son.
Speaking about the scary incident on her podcast, the Instagram star explained she had hired a babysitter— who was a huge fan of the mum-of-two— to care for her children so she could attend business a series of meetings while in Los Angeles for a short period of time.
While at first she trusted the woman with her children, it quickly became clear that she was incompetent and lied about her experience.
“For instance, she came inside one day and she reeked of cigarette smoke. And she had told me she wasn’t a smoker because I don’t want that around my kids,” Tammy said.
“I was like, ‘You smell like smoke’, and she was like, ‘Oh, I quit for this job’. And I was like, ‘Well, obviously you didn’t quit because you smell like smoke’.”
To make matters even more distressing, after meeting her son Wolf and daughter Saskia the nanny claimed she was unable to lift her children due to a back injury, leaving Tammy wondering why she even hired her in the first place.
Things took a turn for the worse when the Saski Collection founder arrived at the airport and asked the nanny to watch over her children while she searched for their passports before boarding the flight.
Turning her back for just a moment, Tammy was left panicking when an onlooker pointed out that her son was injured.
“I look over, and Wolf just has blood pouring out of his head,” she revealed, clearly still traumatised by the awful experience. “I was just looking around to see where the nanny was, and she and Saskia were out of sight.”
She continued: “I was in a bit of a panic at that point. I was frustrated because I just saw all this blood, and I was freaked out a little bit. I was already a bit agitated, so I was getting a bit angry at her.”
After the nanny burst into tears and complained she was going to miss her flight, a furious Tammy ordered her to leave them immediately before she rushed to the hospital where Wolf’s head was “glued back together”.
