Teddi Mellencamp has hit back after being criticised online for taking her newborn daughter for a walk.

On Wednesday, the Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star shared an Instagram photo of herself and co-star Kyle Richards enjoying a hike with her baby daughter, Dove.
“Isn’t she to [SIC] young to be out and about just asking,” one follower commented, to which Teddi hit back, “Fresh air is good for a baby. Enclosed places filled with people are not.”

The reality star and her husband, Edwin Arroyave, welcomed their baby girl on February 25. The couple are also parents to daughter Slate, seven, and son Cruz, five.
However, despite the negative fan feedback, Kyle wrote her friend a sweet message following their outing together.
“Perfect morning hike with this angel and friends,” she wrote on Wednesday via Instagram. “Thanks @teddimellencamp for trusting me to carry her❤️ #LoveDove ❤️.”
Kyle also previously told Us Weekly how happy she was upon meeting Teddi’s third child for the first time.
“I already went to the hospital to visit. I met the baby,” she said last month.
“Her baby is the most beautiful baby. I cried my eyes out holding her. … I absolutely love [the name] and she’s just the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen. I’m really not just saying that.”
Teddi confirmed in her Teddi Tea Pod podcast that the baby wasn’t planned and came as a shock to the couple seeing as she spent years trying to conceive their son Cruz, 6, and daughter Slate,5. Before giving birth to their first child, Teddi failed multiple rounds of IFV and suffered a miscarriage.
After telling her family she was pregnant, the couple’s little ones were over the moon!
“They’ve been talking about it for a long time and actually it’s been my son who’s been like, ‘Mum, we need to have another baby,’” Teddi gushed in October.
“I never wanted to get his hopes up. So when we told him, he was through the roof. So excited. They’re already calling it ‘their baby,’ and they have names picked out for if it’s a boy or a girl — they’re ready!” We’ll see if Slate and Cruz’s name picks are chosen!”
