The Bachelor’s Matt Agnew faced a barrage of criticism from fans for being too intense during his date with Helena on last night’s episode.
Viewers watched on in horror as the astrophysicist explained to a confused Helena that their date would involve them envisioning where they see their relationship in ten years’ time.

“This is creepy as sh*t. Hello we barely know each other but please commit to a 10-yr relationship timeline,” wrote one bemused fan.
“While I’m still dating 7 other girls let’s try and see where we’ll be in 10 years time,” another sarcastically quipped.
During the date, Matt explained to camera that he could see a future with Helena.
“Ten years is a pretty long time so it can be a bit frightening making those kind of plans and commitments with someone,” he began.
“But I can see Helena in my life so I’m hoping she can see a future together too.”
However, Matt’s plan appeared to backfire, with a terrified Helena admitting it was all going a little too quickly for her.
It’s a little bit scary to be honest. It’s a lot to commit to one person and be like this is it we are doing this,’ she said.
