The Block’s Week 11 challenge room reveal was filled with drama.
Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whittaker and Darren Palmer shared their distain taking aim at Norm and Jess’ “horrendous” room.
Apartment 4 scored 20, with Darren calling it “dull”.
“The bed is like a car crash. It’s like they just went to spotlight and got all the different cushions and chucked them on the bed,” Darren added about was supposed to be the couple’s dream room.
“Norm and Jess have lost the plot,” Neale said, adding that they “really need to pick up their game for week two of this final challenge.”
Also out in the cold were South Australian couple Kerrie and Spence, who scored 20.5.
“We were going to start this week with a bang and there it is,” Darren said looking at the bright graffiti wallpaper.
“I feel like I am falling down a rabbit hole and a psychedelic rabbit hole.”
Neale said it was “totally overwhelming”.
Courtney and Hans’ guest bedroom won them the challenge, with a score of 28.5.
Shaynna gushed, “It’s the type of room you want to claim straightaway.”
“The Australiana theme you chose in this room is very on-trend right now,” host Scott Cam added. “And it works very well in this room.”
Hayden and Sara got 27.5 for Apartment 3.
“This is where Hayden and Sara have really listened across the series — because this bathroom is amazing!” Shaynna said.
The couple came in second.
Bianca and Carla’s ensuite got them 23.5.
Shayna seemed enthused saying, “It’s fun. It’s quirky and it’s pretty. Feels like we’re back on brief.”
Neale agreed, “This bathroom fits the St Kilda boutique hotel vibe.”
