It’s been a long three months of renovating for five couples on the 2018 season of The Block and now it’s finally auction time!
But first, the reserves! The amount each team wins depends on their reserve price, with anything over their reserve going into their winnings.
The reserves as below:
Kerrie and Spence: 2, 435,000
Bianca and Carla: 2, 690, 000
Sara and Hayden: 2, 475, 000
Courtney and hans: 2, 360, 000
Norm and Jess: 2, 650, 000
The auction order:

4 – Carla and Bianca
5 – Courtney and Hans
Kerrie and Spence’s auction began with a bid of $2.4 million from buyers’ advocate and Block auction regular Nicole Jacobs.
The bidding quickly jumped with a final big of $2,850,000 by buyers’ advocate Greville Pabst, meaning Kerrie and Spence made a cool $415,000.
Sara and Hayden, who were regularly criticised by the judges for their styling choices, were up next.
Before the auction even began, the couple announced that they are expecting their second child.
The opening bid was $2,500,000 before it slowly got to $2,575,000. It then well and truly kicked off, with the final bid a huge $3,020,000, with Sara and Hayden winning a huge profit of $545,000.
Jess and Norm’s auction kicked off with two bids before hitting the reserve price with the third. Greville then got the guys on the market with $2,675,000.
It was a slow start, but they finally got to a closing bid of $2,859,000, with Jess and Norm making $209,000 in profit.
Bianca and Carla’s auction was a whirlwind from the start, with auctioneer Damian Cooley first rejecting bids smaller than 15 thousand.
It ended with a winning bid of $2,991,000, with the girls making $301,000.
Last up, Hans and Courtney. Buyers advocate Frank Valentic got them on the market with a bid of $2,410,000. Greville is in the room representing former Gatwick owners Rose Banks and Yvette Kelly.
The winning bid $2, 770, 000, giving Hans and Courtney a winning profit of $410,000.
This means Sara and Hayden have won The Block, taking home $645,000.
