The week fans across Australia were shocked upon hearing the news that The Block stars Deanne and Darren Jolly split up after 13 years of marriage.
Dea, 49, confirmed the news to the Herald Sun claiming she was “blindsided” by “the action” of the ex-AFL star, 37.
Now, Darren has spoken out about the demise of his marriage. And the thing that helped him the most – working out.
The former reality TV star shared that he signed up to the F45 Eight-Week Challenge.

The 37-year-old took to Instagram to unveil the new Darren.
“Ten weeks ago my life was f–cked,” He penned to his Insta family,
“A long slow buildup of too many stressful things, finally broke me and pushed me into a very dark place. I wasn’t coping with everyday things and abusing my body with eating crap, drinking a lot and not excising.”
“My stresses and thoughts controlled me and my life. After stepping off the scales back then at 122.9kg I decided I needed to do something about it to get my life back on track.”

Darren continued, “ I sort help for my mental health issues, I gave up chocolate (extremely hard for me to do that!!!) I gave up drinking for a while and I signed up to F45 Camberwell Junction to get some fitness back.”
“Fast forward to now, I’ve completed an F45 eight week challenge and lost 16.1kg, I completely overhauled my eating by signing up to ChefGood meals for the challenge, I haven’t touched a beer and I feel I’ve taken back control and direction of my life. Signing up to F45 was the motivation I needed.”
“It gave me purpose, it gave me hope. It gave me back the direction I was desperately searching for. I am forever grateful for all the team at F45 Camberwell Junction. Thank you guys!!”

Friends, fans and loved ones flocked to Darren’s page and congratulated him for the big turnaround.
Among the kind comments, My Kitchen Rules star Ash Pollard posted, “Christ Daz 🙌🏻 Good for you.”
“But I’m focusing on my two daughters who are my number one priority. Please respect our privacy while we move on.”

The Block couple from Melbourne, who are affectionately known as Daz and Dea, were known for their constant bickering.
They appeared on two seasons of The Block — 2014’s Glasshouse and then again in 2015’s Triple Threat.
In 2015, they made $835,000 profit and then earned an additional $100,000 for winning the series, bringing their total to $935,000, winning the most prize money out of any Block team.
