In the new docuseries investigate journalist and true crime fan Maggie Freleng sets out to try and uncover what happened to Maura Murray after she disappeared in 2004.

On a cold day in February 21-year-old university student Maura vanished without a trace after a car accident in a remote area of New Hampshire near Massachusetts.

When police arrived at the scene of the crash, just minutes after the incident, Maura was missing. From then, nobody knows what happened to.

Some suspect foul play was involved, others think she deliberately went missing as an escape from the men in her life.

One of the unique things about this case is that no body was found and no suspect was ever named.

In The Disappearance of Maura Murray Freleng tries to unravel the plot holes, unexplored theories, rumours and witness account surrounding what they’re calling the “first crime mystery of the social media age.”
