On Sunday night’s episode of The Voice, contestants were battling it out for the remaining places on Guy and Delta’s teams, after Boy George and Kelly Rowland filled their teams with the talented singers.
And by the time that Georgia Love’s ex boyfriend and All Star Matt Garwood took to the stage, only one spot on Delta’s team was remaining.
He performed a beautiful rendition of Josh Groban’s ‘You Raise Me Up’, seriously impressing the other three judges, who couldn’t help but turn around.
“Different and cool,” Guy smiled.
Sadly, Delta decided ultimately not to turn her chair, which would leave most returning contestants shattered – however the Aussie star offered Matt a different opportunity he couldn’t refuse.
“I feel really heartbroken and I’m so sorry that, in this moment, I wasn’t looking for that style,” she said.
Delta asked, “It is extremely courageous to come here and if I can ask, by any chance, would you want to perform with me at my next tour? Would you want to come do a song with me?”
“Absolutely!” Matt replied, “I’d be stupid to say no!”
“I feel like I love your voice, it was really beautiful,” Delta added. “It was other factors I was listening to in my heart – not your beautiful voice.”
“You can be my Christine perhaps,” Matt joked, before Delta said, “From The Phantom of the Opera, of course!”
