She came back for a second shot on The Voice after appearing on Season 1 and for tonight’s knockout round, coach Kelly Rowland gave Prinnie Stevens a song under the theme of ‘Parenthood’.
Assigned ‘ABC’ by The Jackson 5, Prinnie admitted she wasn’t super confident with the song.
“Doing ABC is a huge ask – there’s just so much,” she said. “I have a coach and my girls that I really want to make proud and a song that I don’t take lightly.”
But speaking to WHO, Prinnie opened up about what the theme of ‘parenthood’ really means for her, despite not making it through the knockout round.
“My girls are the reason I am doing this,” she says.
“My older daughter does representative basketball and all those sorts of things. When you watch kids, it’s so easy to go, ‘Go out there and have fun,” Prinnie tells WHO. “It’s so easy for parents to say that, but we have to be the example.”
She adds, “I see my older daughter be more fearless in what she does and that’s what I want for them.”
