The Oscar-winning director of Thor and his film producer wife are said to have secretly separated two years ago.

Taika Waititi and Chelsea Winstanley, who both hale from New Zealand tied the knot in 2011, but according to Page Six the couple quietly split in 2018.
Chelsea, 44 has seemingly dropped cryptic hints on social media lately that she and Taika, also 44, are no longer together.
On February 12, she posted a photo of herself and her mother on the red carpet of this year’s Academy Awards and wrote in the caption: ‘This is a better one of my stunning mama date!’
‘Way better date than a seat filler! (for those of who you have sent me sweet uplifting messages you know what I mean),’ she added.
On February 15 a fan tweeted an illustration of Chelsea with Taika, and wrote: ‘I present a portrait of Chelsea Winstanley and her husband.’
The producer replied: ‘It’s nice to be recognized but even better to not be associated by name,’ along with the hashtag ‘#notmyhusband.’
The former couple, who were last photographed together at a Golden Globes party in January after working together on the film Jojo Rabbit – which he directed and she produced, share two daughters; seven-year-old Te Hinekāhu and four-year-old Matewa Kiritapu.
