The Bachelorette Australia finale is always going to have someone weeping into their pot plant.
The nation felt a sense of deja vu when we saw Ali Oetjen dump Todd King to be with Taite Radley.
It was Matty J all over again…
And there was only one appropriate response: Make Todd King the Bachelor in 2019.
Ali was always going to be faced with a tough decision, either her knight in shining armor or her rugged bank manager.
The 32-year-old told Todd, “You’re one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I’ve learned from my mistakes.”

“I feel like we would have such a perfect life together. But something’s missing for me. I can’t explain what I’m feeling.”
“The one thing I know now about love is it’s not just ticking off a checklist it’s about following my heart.”
The worst bit…
It seemed like Todd was going to pop the question before Ali’s comments.
“The one thing I can give you, guaranteed, is that I’m always going to sacrifice for you,” he told Ali.
Todd holding a stunning ring, he said to Osher, “I’ve learnt what I want in a partner and that’s Ali. I can see her as my life partner and the mother of my children.”
“The man that stands before you now is head over heels in love.”
Viewers were quick to let their thoughts known.
Many thought Ali made the wrong choice, while most echoed two words: Matty J.
For his part, Todd isn’t closed off to the idea of being The Bachelor Australia in 2019.
Speaking to NW, he confessed, “I think you’re always looking for love”
Adding, “I think I’d exercise every option to find it.”
