Maggie Rogers fans have said they’re “embarrassed by Australia” after comedian Tommy Little asked the U.S singer some extremely lowbrow questions during her appearance on The Project on Wednesday night.

The 25-year-old was on the Channel 10 show to promote her new album Heard it in a Past Life and upcoming Aussie tour. But instead, Little decided to turn the line of questioning to her 2016 meeting with Pharrell Willams –a video of her playing a demo to the music star during a masterclass at New York University went viral at the time.
‘I mean… I don’t really, I have seen him, like, three times since that video,’ Maggie said following several pointless questions from the panel.
Despite the fact Maggie clearly wasn’t game to talk about Pharrell, Little still insisted to ask one final question.
‘Did he smell good? Because I reckon he looks like he’d smell amazing,’ Not letting the matter go, Little continued: ‘But did you get a waft?’
Finally realising Maggie was less than impressed, Waleed Aly interrupted. ‘We should probably talk about your album’.
And the embarrassing interview clearly stuck with Maggie, following her appearance the singer took to social media up upload some lowlights from the interview. ‘To clarify for future journalists – I have no idea what Pharrell smells like,’ she captioned the clip.
And fans were quick to slam Little.
‘She has toured the world and produced an incredible album. Let’s focus on that!!! That interview was totally disrespectful and she handled herself very well,’ said one.
‘Can you believe releasing an album and touring it around the world and then journalists want to ask you about a man you met three years ago in college?’ said another.
