Meet Tracy Vo – the veteran 9 news reader tipped to join TODAY

The Stefanovic brothers have said goodbye to their respective breakfast shows.

Karl Stefanovic has left the TODAY show, while brother Peter Stefanovic has left the network completely.

But it the time of huge change, emerges a name some of us might not be familiar with.

Tracy Vo is expected to join the TODAY family.

WHO IS TRACY VO?

Perth viewers will recognise the 35-year-old as the current Nine News anchor.

The Vietnamese Australian journalist has been with the network since 2007.

In 2012 she returned to Perth to be their resident news woman.

She is good friends with fellow Nine personality, Sylvia Jeffreys.

“Building really solid friendships like Sylvia Jeffreys and Amelia Adams, they’re still two of my closest friends, despite being on the other side of the country,” she told Nine Honey.

In 2014, Vo published her first book Small Bamboo.

“An extraordinary story of escaping Vietnam to create a happier life in Australia.”

The Morning Show’s entertainment editor Peter Ford was the first person to comment on Vo’s rumoured move to TODAY.

As I reported yesterday there is also a plan to also ‘redeploy’ @SylviaJeffreys and @Tracy_Vo is favourite to move east.”
