triple J host Gen Fricker was allegedly assaulted after a man broke into ABC’s Sydney studios.
Kieren Gallagher, 31, was arrested after he broke into the Ultimo studios and allegedly kissed Fricker before fleeing from the premises when security were made aware of his presence.
According to Fairfax Media, Gallagher had been stalking the radio host for months in the lead up to the incident, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon on September 5.
Gallagher was arrested today and appeared at the Central Local Court yesterday.
News.com reports he was charged with stalking and intimidation with intent to cause fear as well as trespassing and common assault.
Court documents revealed he “appears to have significant mental health issues”.
Fricker has not publicly addressed the incident.
