Vanessa Hudgens is going to be a mum! The 35-year-old High School Musical star made the exciting reveal at the 2024 Oscars, cradling her bump as she posed for photos.
The first-time mum’s reveal comes just two days after she slammed pregnancy rumours that surfaced during her bachelorette party in October.
“I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful,” she shared on the She Pivots podcast. “I went out on my bachelorette and I posted video of me, and there are all these comments that are like, ‘Oh my god, you’re pregnant.'”
Since she wasn’t pregnant at the time, Vanessa explained the unwarranted comments were “so rude” and made her “feel fat.”
“I’m sorry I don’t wear Spanx every day,” she quipped, “and am a real woman and have a real body.”
Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker officially tied the knot three months ago, with the actress and baseball player reportedly saying “I do” in an intimate ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, sources confirmed to People.
Fans had previously speculated that the couple had wed earlier in the week after photos emerged of the actress posing on the beach in a white dress. Eagle-eyed fans also noticed Vanessa’s High School Musical co-star Monique Coleman was also in Tulum.
In May, Vanessa revealed how wedding planning was going during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. “It’s hard,” she said. “I don’t know. Finding a venue is tough. I kinda just wanna elope. I really… I’m lost, I don’t know.”
Although the couple haven’t confirmed their nuptials…there are a number of pointed hints, including Tucker’s brother, Carson’s latest Instagram post of his time in Cancun, which included a photo of Vanessa’s close friend and Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and a photo with Vanessa’s mum.
An unsourced and unverified photo also emerged on Twitter which shows Vanessa wearing a white dress.
TMZ first broke the news of the couple’s engagement in early February 2023, with a source close to the couple revealing that Cole proposed to the actress at the end of 2022.
The couple have since confirmed the news via Instagram, with Vanessa, sharing a photo of the ring with the caption, “YES. We couldn’t be happier.”
Vanessa, 34, and Cole, 27, reportedly met via zoom in November 2020, while virtually attending Joe Jonas’ meditation group.

The two were speculated to be together years before Vanessa publicly debuted their relationship in a 2014 birthday post on Instagram, where she called Austin the “love of my life”.
Over the years, the former couple shared many sweet moments together, including when Austin called Vanessa his “rock” at the premiere of The Dead Don’t Die.
While the two never confirmed the reason behind their split, many fans assumed it was due to opposing film schedules and distance.
