Legendary singer Vic Damone has passed away

According to Fox News, the singer passed away at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, with family by his side.

The crooner was known for his silky-toned voice which brought much joy to fans in the 40s and 50s, particularly with his hits ‘You’re Breaking My Heart’ and ‘On the Street Where You Live.’

Damone’s relatives also confirmed to Fox News that the singer recieved a phonecall from his friend and US President Donald Trump, only days before his passing.

Damone was not only a recording artist, but he also dipped his toes into acting, starring in TV shows like and films, appearing in guest spots on The Dick Van Dyke Show and Judy Garland’s prime time series.

Fans and fellow stars have since taken to Twitter to share tributes to the late singer.
