Big Brother fans have been discussing the bizarre rumour that the voice of the hit reality show, Mike Goldman has secretly been squatting in the abandoned set.
The strange conspiracy theory alleges that Goldman was discovered squatting at the former set, which is located in the Dreamworld amusement park on the Gold coast, after arsonists torched the park recently.
However, clearly seeing the funny side of things, Goldman himself took to Twitter to quash the rumours.
‘I’ve been in the news talking about the dilapidated Big Brother house. I didn’t divulge I went through a rough patch financially and was actually squatting there for a few months,’ the 46-year-old joked.
‘Thanks [to] production crew and staff at Dreamworld for looking the other way before I got back on my feet.’
All jokes aside, Mike is currently doing very well. The voice actor announced his engagement to fiancée Bianca Zouppas earlier this month.
And last year he was announced as the official ambassador for children’s charity The Shepherd Centre, which aims to help children who are deaf or hearing impaired.
Besides giving Mike a chuckle, there is one other good thing to come out of the strange conspiracy theory. On Wednesday, as temperatures dropped around Australia, the Big Brother star tweeted that he had just donated to homeless charity Mission Australia.
‘Imagine how cold the homeless people are right now. Just donated,’ he said. The TV personality also vowed to spend a night sleeping rough in the abandoned Dreamworld set in order to raise money for the charity.
