WATCH: Ariana Grande had the entire stadium in tears
It’s been six months since Mac Miller tragically died from an accidental overdose, and the late rapper is very much still on his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande’s mind.
The American songstress took to the stage at the Times Union Centre in Albany, NY on Monday night to kick off her Sweetener tour – but before she took to the mic she played some Mac Miller tracks as a sweet tribute to her ex-boyfriend.
Touched by the gesture, fans flooded social media with praise for the ‘thank u, next ‘singer.
“Ariana Grande is playing Mac Miller right before her opening song for sweetner tour rn and my heart can’t handle it SO MANY TEARS,” wrote one.
Clearly an emotional night for Ariana, she told the crowd that her set list would not include ‘ghostin’ or ‘imagine’ because they would be “too heavy” to perform – both songs are believed to be about Miller.
