Of course, fans of the actors will know that this isn’t the first time Oscar-nominee, Hugh and Taron have worked together.

The talented pair recorded the synth-pop song ‘Thrill Me’ for the closing credits of their 2016 film Eddie the Eagle.

And in fact, the audition tape that would eventually land Taron  – who stars in Rocketman alongside Richard Madden, Jamie Bell and Bryce Dallas Howard – the role of Elton John in the box office smash was of himself and Hugh singing.

Speaking to the Herald Sun last month, Egerton described how Matthew Vaughn – the producer for Eddie the Eagle and Rocketman contacted the British star after hearing him sing.

“Matthew called me afterwards when he heard it and said ‘you can sing’,” revealed Egerton.

“And I said ‘I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think I could sing’. And he said ‘no you can really sing’. I think from there the cogs in his mind began turning.”
