Controversial Canadian psychologist and author Jordan B Peterson has just announced an Australian and New Zealand tour.
The self-help guru and social critic – who has racked up tens of millions of views on YouTube with his lectures and viral interviews, and has topped the local best seller lists with his book 12 Rules For Life – has confirmed he will be visiting Down Under early next year.
Announcing the below dates, Peterson has yet to confirm ticketing details.

Dr Peterson shot to Internet fame in the wake of a sometimes fiery clashes over perceived free speech issues in Canada, and an interview with Channel 4’s Cathy Newman, which has received nearly 13 million views.
Another, equally fraught encounter with Helen Lewis on behalf of British GQ has recently been flying high on the YouTube charts.
Peterson has earned the wrath of some feminists and transgender activists who feel targeted by some of his opinions – especially his claim that Canadian legislation legally mandating the use of transgender pronouns is an affront to freedom of speech. He maintains he would use trans pronouns if personally requested.
Despite the controversy, he has earned a vast and growing audience, especially among young men who say they have benefited from his self-help advice, which encourages individuals to find meaning through personal responsibility.
